You can't have a website without some level of web hosting somwhere.  There are so many to choose from and which one you should pick depends on your individual situation.

 

Budget is always factor as is systems requirement.  For some website owners, basic web hosting is all that is needed if the website just has a few photos and does is not multimedia intensive.

 

If the site relies heavily on text and does not need:

then basic hosting is fine and choose the least expensive provider.  Otherwise, you need more than just basic hosting.
